I figured I'd better write something that resembles some substance. I don't want this blog to turn into one of those with just youtube links, regardless of how amusing they are.
Sadly, I don't have much to report. My job still sucks and I'm counting down the days until I'm laid off. I haven't decided if I want to take a full layoff and tell them not to call me back, or do a temp layoff and pray to god I can find a job before it's time to start working again. It's a tough decision. I'm not sure I can do another season there without going completely and utterly insane. If anyone thought things couldn't get worse at TG, YOU WERE WRONG.
Anyway, I'm a bit miffed at my computer. Or perhaps my router. I can't figure out which. Or maybe I'm miffed at WoW. Every time I turn my computer off (which isn't very often), WoW lags. This makes my new found joy of Battlegrounds a nightmare. PvPing while lagging = death. Swift death. It usually rights itself later on, or after I get pissed enough to unplug the router a few times. I really haven't set up a controlled experiment yet to see exactly what the cause of this is. All I know is it irritates the hell out of me.
I've discovered the joy of NPR radio. Yesterday I listened to taped conversations by LBJ to various people. It was awesome. Sadly, today I couldn't get the channel to come in at all. Work trucks are shitty like that. tomorrow I'm going to duct tape a large tinfoil ball to my antenna. Maybe that will help. If not, it'll make the guys at work wonder if I've really fallen off my rocker. Hee. Hee. <--dry laugh.
Speaking once again of work, yesterday as I was leaving I made a sarcastic comment to my bosses, asking if 'I was free to go'. Because, you know, work is slave-like most days. Bossman replies jokingly that "No, you have to stay forever." Now this just sent a chill down my spine, even if it was supposed to be funny. As I was walking out the door I paused, "Well, I guess I'll just have to kill myself, then." He didn't think it was very funny. :/

Dear stupid asses who get lawn/tree care service.
Not everyone is out to steal from you. Not everyone is out to cheat you. Some of us take it personally when you call us liars and thieves. Despite the popular opinion, there are a few of us who pride ourselves on doing a good job and treating customers well. However, the customer is NOT always right in this business. More often than not, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. So when you hire a professional, shut the fuck up for a minute and LISTEN. God, it's basic kindergarten skills. Why do adults have such a problem with this?
Don't tell me how to do my job. Your perception of how it should be done vs how it really is done are probably completely different. Your way is NOT the right way just because you think it is so. For example, if it's 100 degrees outside, it's not surprising that when you go outside after I've finished spraying that the leaves of your trees are already dry. Super hot weather = fast evaporation. Imagine that.
Common sense is a wonderful thing. Please get some or DIAF (especially that idiot bitch I threw down with today. Plz go cut yourself on something dull and rusty, Bonnie. The world needs less stupid people.)
Christ.
Anyone who thinks Paris came up with this on her own is an idiot...
I am having a serious attack of apathy.
Apathy about pretty much everything. Nothing appeals to me.
Going anywhere is sort of out of the question since I have no money and gas is so high. TV is typically pretty dull, but provides something to look at while I sigh and wonder what the hell is wrong with me. I finished a book just because doing nothing all day is such a waste of a Saturday. Not even my RP group appeals to me...but I think that's because it's become drama laden and a few people there irritate the hell out of me. I can't even get into WoW at the moment.
*sigh*
I tried to take a walk, but that didn't make me feel any better. I'm pretty much tempted to just go back to bed.
I am extremely annoyed by other players in the world of WoW who:
1.) Ask you for money. I work hard for my damn gold. Go make your own.
2.) Randomly invite you to a group without even talking to you first. I made the mistake of accepting one of these invites once. I ended up in a dungeon (where I wanted to go) with the biggest group of idiots in the world. The fact the healer was a paladin should've clued me in...
3.) Drop a guild invite/charter on you with absolutely no warning. Even worse are the ones who chase after you after you pointedly ignore them and repeat the process all over again.
