Heeee! Last night was a blast when this event occurred. Thrall vs Gorrash Hellscream! The battle was interrupted though when undead dragons and lumbering horrors suddenly attacked Orgrimmar. HOSHIT! Where'd they come from? D: Pretty awesome to see Thrall, Gorrash, Sylvanis, and Saurfang duking it out with us common folk to fight back Arthas's scourge.
FOR THE HORDE!
................
A fun event that became a not so fun event. Being a zombie was funny for about two days. Then I got really sick of it. Sick of the assholes lvl 70s who camped out lowbie areas and ganked everyone. I swear to god, I logged my baby druid on in Crossroads and was ganked at the moment of log on. I died. Turned into a zombie. Then died again. Three times. I ended up parking him in the middle of the Barrens because all the major cities and lower places were infested with griefers. Bye bye rest XP, hello durability damage. :/
Fucking zombies. I hope they never do this again. My high lvl toon took much joy in killing their fun. This vid is kinda funny though, and illustrates the assholiery that went on during the event well. lol
...............
Alliance has been raiding the capital cities like crazy these days. Sylvanis kicked their asses on my server two nights ago. There were only five of us standing on the pillar watching (I love how our 70s hang out at Org bank and do nothing while our faction leaders die. (LOLZ LOOKIT MAH SHINY ARMOR DURRRH :/). Thankfully, Sylvanis didn't seem to need anyone's help. Thrall died though. *:<* Which baffles me since there are so many friggen people in Org at one time. Anywhoo, last night people with balls were online and we thwarted a raid of about 80 on Thunderbluff. Silly alliance, GTFO! Oh, and thanks for the achievements! :D
........
ARTHAS!
Ugh. I cannot wait until the scourge invasion is over. On my server it isn't the alliance that are turning into zombies and killing the quest givers, trainers, and just generally being a pain in the ass. No, not the alliance. On my server, its the freakin Horde! Yes, a select few numbskulls on the horde side are going through our own cities, and killing our own faction members every single day. *rolls eyes* Counter-productive much?
Now this zombie thing wouldn't be so annoying (seeing how there are healers) but every time you get hit the 'find a damn healer now or turn into a zombie and die' timer goes down exponentially. Agh, so not only do players hit you once, they follow you around the city till you turn into a zombie and are forced to take durability damage.
Heh, the durability damage sucks, especially in epics, (every time I die its 5g T.T) but the worse part is preparing for a raid. Getting 25 people together with all of their supplies is enough of a pain, (I'm on a low population server) but when people become zombies upon visiting the major cities for their gear, it just becomes an undesired hassle. Heh, you can't even summon someone with the zombie debuff.
*sigh* So needless to say, I'm right there with ya Zoso. The scourge invasion was fun for the first couple of days, but it is rapidly becoming a frustration. I know that I gave up alt leveling for the time being. Kudos the those that are still attempting.
On a better note, WotLK comes out tonight at midnight. ^^ *Will be one of those losers standing outside the store for her copy*
Posted by: Mia at November 12, 2008 12:34 PMYeah, it was same faction griefing on our server too. I wouldn't have minded as much, I think, if it were alliance doing it to horde. But it was horde doing it to horde. I got torked off after people would cuss me out after killing them. So I killed them more! And more! And more! *D
We don't have zombies anymore though, just Scourge running around in Org and UC. And of course there's the areas under attack by that purple castle thingy. I've killed so many Bone Witches and elites and still haven't gotten any mail drops. The big guys steamroll me though, which sucks. :
My WotLK is in the mail. I'm in no hurry to install it though. Northrend is going to be a mess tonight and probably for the next month. I'll wait until people have settled down to get going over there.
