After reading several websites on 'disgruntled workers' and realizing that the vast majority of them make workplace apathy the fault of the employee, I have to ask the question:
Are you high? Perhaps there is a -problem- with the company and -not- with the employee. You know, most people want to work. Looking for a new job sucks monkeyballs. It sucks going to work, knowing you need to find another job because you work for a bunch of assholes who rather blame you for problems than own up to their own incompetencies.
There's a lot of pissed off people in the workforce these days. People tired of getting shit on by big corporations greedy for money and willing to do almost -anything- to get it.
So maybe the problem isn't with the employee pool, but with the employers instead.
Interesting thought, isn't it?

Posted by Zoso at June 7, 2008 12:10 AMI agree, Zoso. Work's passing the buck with my pay right now. Teenaged weekend staff get away with murder whereas I seem to get picked on for the slightest thing. And yet, I am one of the most well-trained staff there. I get customers asking for me *in person*. They'd lose a lot of revenue if I quit, but I just know they actually wouldn't care if I left and wouldn't attribute the loss to my leaving.
Sucks to be an employee, right? Shame we all have to do it.
I want to start writing again. Do you still write? Soul-sucking jobs are such a drag on the ol' creativity, aren't they?
We'll get there, Zoso!
Posted by: DR at June 15, 2008 02:23 PMIt does suck. I don't mind working. I don't mind working hard, but I'd like to at least get something for it. :/ I don't like the idea of being expected to work myself into the ground for nothing.
LOL I don't do much of anything right now. Work, work, work. My brain just wants to shut off when I get home. I should take up writing again. Maybe that's my ticket out of this shitty job? XD
Posted by: Zoso at June 16, 2008 09:58 PMMy brain is so much like that. D= I think it is work. We should just be big kids!
