Screw Zelda

I don't think a game has pissed me off more since playing the first Devil May Cry. I'm all for things being difficult, but there's a limit to difficulty when trying to make things 'fun'. Sure, it's cool to have bomb dropping birds, archers on cliffsides, ogres on warthogs shooting flaming arrows, a dumbass woman who can't drive a carriage worth shit and all the while poor Link is trying to ride a completely retarded horse around, shoot things out of the sky, put out fires, and make ogre-warthog steak.

Fuck that.

I spent an hour on this part of the game and finally said, screw this. I'm done. I doubt I'll be playing it anymore, it made me that angry. I'm actually pissed I spent money on it. I'm pissed that I'm this pissed over a stupid video game. I'm pissed because it was actually pretty fun and I liked the story, but I'm too pissed off to play it anymore because I know I'll have to get through that part to go on and just going through that again will piss me off all over again.

Piss on that.

PISS!

>:(

I'm going to go play a Tales game to calm my nerves.

EDIT

I tried it again and finally threw the disk behind my TV in a five year old style temper tantrum. This game seriously pisses me the hell off.

ROFLMSAO!

Oh, oh my. I know how you feel. I had an uncannily similar experience while playing MegaMan Network Transmission - all the while I was yelling expletives at the TV, and actually managed to break off a piece of the handle from my Gamecube controller through sheer force of grip.

But, I stubbornly continued at it, until finally I was able to get past the boss that had given my so much anger ... and I cursed at the TV in victory while jumping up and down like a wild monkey.

Keep at it. You'll get through it eventually. Remember, your better than the game. The game does not own you, you own the game! You own the game! You own the game!

It makes me mad re-reading my post again. >:( I don't plan on playing it again any time soon. It took me a week to get back to DMC.

Maybe I'm just getting old...

Maybe when things settle down a bit I can help you with it. While it took a couple of tries, I did get past that part (albeit using the Wii version). The main thing you need to remember to do is take down those birds. They're more important than the warthog riding guys (if you don't get rid of the birds, you keep going in circles and it takes forever).

Trust me, you'll want to keep playing. The game starts off slow, so if that's only as far as you are it gets better and better the more you keep playing.

(but, yeah, I don't know if you've ever played Zelda games before, but they can be pretty challenging...)

I have a lot of hate for Zelda right now. Difficult is fine, I like difficult, but near impossible--no thanks. I tried the game again and now I can't even get past that fat jerkface on the bridge. I beat him last night! Why do I have to fight him again? I saved the game before I quit. Not only that, I waste my arrows on this guy so how in the hell do I shoot those birds out of the sky if I have no arrows?

I like the story just fine. I want to see what happens, but to do that, I have to get past this part. Unfortunately, the absurd difficulty of this particular half of the game has sapped all the fun out of Zelda for me. When a game makes me this angry, I don't want to play it anymore. Games are supposed to be fun, not induce rage. I doubt I'll ever buy another Zelda game again. >:(

But if you're up to it, sure. I know you have more on your mind than my asinine anger at a stupid video game.
