So today J and I ventured out of our respective caves and headed into town to catch Silent Hill and do some shopping. Of course, I had to flick that little angel on my shoulder into traffic, as I got sick of her whispering in my ear, "Don't spend money! Don't spend money!" She's probably right, but a little fun now and again is deserved. I'll not spend money next week.
Anyway, after Silent Hill (which was a pretty decent movie), we went to EB Games were I pre-ordered (and fully paid for) Dirge of Cerberus. J mentioned he'd bought a DS game that we could play together. I picked that up too. Watering and chasing each other with shovels in AC is only fun for so long. I can only pray this game is as entertaining as Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals.
...I miss that game, J.
After the movie we went to Barnes and Noble. They still didn't have my book in, so I showed them what I thought of that buy buying two manga. Take that B&N! Stupid store! Never has new releases in on time.
We decided we were hungry and found a place to eat. After I mailed a picture of J's Mountain Dew to somebody in Kurdistan, we decided to go to Office Max and Best Buy. I've wanted a Miyavi ringtone for a long time, but short of making one myself, they're no where to be found. J had heard of a program that would let me do just that, so we went hunting. At OM I got some new resume paper, because, well, despite having a job now and a new one coming up, I've learned never stop looking. I'll need something full time to support my habits bills. Also, I got some new CD-Rs to get some of the crap off my computer.
At Best Buy we looked for a Mobile Phone adapter. Holy hopping wart hogs! Those puppies are expensive! Incidently, as we scoured the software part of the store, J found a program called Pix n Tunes, which allows you to make your own ringtones and send pictures to your phone. Sweet!
At least until I got it home. The program is a piece of work. I couldn't get any of my tones to go to my phone. After checking the support portion of their website and all other availible avenues, I ended up with a message that said (and I paraphrase):
Sorry. We can't help you. Try Winamp.
WTF?
I was pretty pissed. Thirty bucks and they can't even give decent support? Free products offer more help that that. But all was not lost. Though the program is crappy, I'm content being able to send pictures to my phone. That part works pretty good. Now I have some awesome wallpaper choices. Oh, and I got an adapter for my phone. Six of them. When I think about the price of a single adapter, I guess I got a pretty good deal.
However, I was still lost without my ringtone. Being an expert digger on the Net, I went to work. I came up with this site: Xingtone
If you want to make your own ringtones, go get this program now. It's awesome. Granted, I had some issues connecting to their server a few times, but the process is so simple, a chimp I could do it. Install program, find a song, clip it, send it to your phone. A text message pops up, then you download it. Easy as pie. I now have a 22 second clip of "Dear My Friend" by Miyavi as my ringtone.
You can try it for free. I plan on buying it in a couple weeks.

I am SO sorry, but that's the best laugh I've had all day.
I would've pre-ordered Dirge look a good little gamer, but I think I've gotta sell my PS2 to help pay for groceries. *lol* More on that next week.
