Dear My Friend

The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. It didn't get enough attention in my last blog, that's for sure. So here it is, Dear My Friend, by M i y a v i.

(props to the people who upload these videos over at YouTube)

Lyrics

Dear my friend, take a look at the sky,
Now what we see is the same, you and I.
Even from such a distance, the world is same.
(same earth, same world)

Like the sea and sky, somewhere we must be tied together too;
Dear my friend, If I followed these clouds
I wonder, will they lead me to you?

Say hello,
As I cry your name into the sky,
Reality is where I want to meet,
But even that dream can't come true.

How much would it take
to soar free in the heavens like a bird?
I may not have wings,
but these hands can hold you tight.
How I envy those powerful birds.

Dear my friend, If I grasped these clouds
I wonder, will they lead me to you?
And if we meet someday,
Hold onto my hand tight
So you will never go astray again,
Like a bird, like the wind.

(liberties taken since literal translations from Japanese to English often sound pretty stupid. The context is the same, however. And remember, I'm not fluent, so there most likely are mistakes. Sorry.)
