I'm so buying some of these

You know, I was at the bank today waiting to turn back onto the street when some dumbass woman in a white van kept honking her horn at me to go. After the second time I kindly turned around in my seat, gave her the finger and screamed "SHUT THE FUCK UP, BITCH!" Sadly, I know she couldn't hear me, but I'm pretty sure she could read my lips. That gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. Anyway, after I managed to get across traffic, she whirls on by, then has to slam on her brakes as the light turns red. Mind you, she's sticking halfway out in the intersection. I laughed and pointed at her--then gave her the bird again for good measure.

The entire time this is going on I kept thinking, "Jesus, I need que cards for shit like this."

LO AND BEHOLD!

This made my day. Gotta get me some of those.

Oh, man, that's crazy. I have been thinking of making some signs ever since I started driving a few years ago. ;P

On a completely random note, have any ideas for a speech? xD They have to be five minutes...other than that, it's really whatever goes (as long as it's not too controversial). Uhh, one needs to have a visual aid, one with two references, and one is an argument. Seriously, this is the hardest part for me. :P I actually did my first reference one last week on crime in Japan, and I got a 94, I think (even though I forgot about half of what I wanted to say, haha). I'm a spaz. >P

Hmmm...I never took a speech class in college ( I managed to get around it). Ideas? Not to controversial? Well, I suppose that would limit topics such as religion, abortion, homosexuality, sex ed in schools, death penalty, etc. Those tend to be the touchy ones.

It can be anything? Let's see...I'm just gonna brainstorm here, so some of the ideas might be a bit wacky. But I find that writing whatever comes to my mind produces some of the best results.

homelessness
education
drugs
spay and neutering of pets
road rage
child vaccinations (people who choose not of vaccinate their kids)
diseases
salmon preservation
BSE
FDA (food saftey)
domestic violence
disposable pets (small animals such as lizards, snakes, fish, mice, etc. *many people do not properly care for them because they are cheap and easily replaced*)
fitness awareness
nutrition
carnivals (scare the hell out of me)
Global Warming
Music
sports
internet saftey

Hn...pretty random list, not sure it will be of any help. Usually I'd pick on, then break it down from there into smaller issues. Good luck!

Oh snap. *saved and printed* Man, I hate riding with my dad, though. Heaven help the person who doesn't hit the gas the EXACT moment the light turns.

"SLEEP AT HOME, MOTHER-FUCKERS!"

Bless his bitter, blackened heart. Jeeeeee-bus.

Yeah, there are lots of idiots on the road. I would love to have each one of those signs when I drive to the bookstore. You would think that the end of the world was coming and they were escaping. I am a very passive driver, and the aggressive ones are giving me mild heartattacks. The closest I've been to an accident was having a semi try to sideswipe me. Agressive drivers annoy me. If I'm turning left, don't pass me etc. I swear more driving during a 20min trip than I do for the rest of the month. Thank goodness my mom doesn't ride with me when I drive.

Jeez... Signs like those kind of scare me. I just starting driving recently, and in the car with my mother I have to go about 10 miles below the speed limit, which SUCKS. I usually have a 12-car line behind me by the time I get to where I was going. I'm sure a lot of them want to flick me off. Of course, with my father it's usually ten miles above the speed limit...

That definitely helped... I really did not even think of most of those (I have the WTF-BLANK syndrome). Disposable pets? X_x

Haha, is it just me, or do all chiropractors hate vaccines and medicine in general? ;P One student that was going into it gave a speech on vaccinating...or, rather, why not to vaccinate. And also gave a speech earlier about why we should use medicine (pain killers, etc) much less. Obviously, it was a guy. -__-

I'm sorry, but people who do not vaccinate their children piss me the hell off. Sure, you have to pay for the vaccines and there is SOME risk, but there is risk everytime you take ANY medication. Not only that, though we don't have problems with the diseases that they vaccinate for, they are still out there...and they still kill kids. It's irresponsible socially and parentally not to vaccinate your children. Ugh, I get mad just thinking about it. Why put your kids at that risk? Why?

I do agree that doctors need to stop handing out antibiotics like candy. That is bad. And anti-bacterial soaps and stuff are also becoming a problem. We are creating superbugs--ones that are resistant to the stuff that is suppose to kill them. That scares the crap out of me.

I learned an entire new respect for infectious diseases when I took microbiology classes in college. I think it should be a required course for everyone.

As for disposable pets, yeah, it's a problem. Mostly with the small animals. Spiders, fish, lizards, rodents, etc. They're cheap, easily replaced, so if they die on you, you can just go get another one. Or that's the logic anyway. Don't ask me how, because a lot of dogs and cats are free, but people value them more. Very sad.

I only know about reptiles, since I've had so many. They've become quite popular with kids, but taking care of them is hard since they require such specific care. But most pet stores sell these teeny tiny aquariums and sand or cedar props...both of which are VERY bad for reptiles. They don't sell adaquate food sources or supplements, nor does any of the staff know anything about taking care of them.

It ticks me off. Pets are pets. No matter if they're furry or not. You get one, you take care of it the right way. I spent 700 bucks on a 5ft tall, 4ft long 'cage' for my last lizard, Muffin (ha ha). She was two feet long, so that size of enclosure was just right for her. But a pet store will tell you a 20 gallon take is adaquate. Grrrr! I had her for about four years before she got a respiratory infection and died. The vet couldn't do anything for her, as the anti-biotics wouldn't work. *cries*

We now have a gecko. One of son's friends couldn't take care of it so my son told him to give it to us. He's a lot smaller than Muffin, but we're in the process of getting him a bigger tank.

Okay, I'll stop ranting now. LOL Oh, I'm had a vision the other day and started another story. *heh* Everyone will probably think I've gone crazy...

Heck yes, those cards are going to be my birthday present on my sweet sixteen. I only took drivers' ed this summer and have driven extremely little compared to my peers. The reason for this is that I absolutely HATE driving. When I started driving with my mom this guy who was directing our county fair traffic waved for me to come out but then got the bright idea to wave this guy on my other side out too. Bad idea, idiot. I almost hit the SUV that drove by but I had luckily slammed on the brakes. Needless to say, I was PISSED. Let's not even start on the time that I tried to get in the turn lane, or the time where hit the curb, and then the mailbox. *sighs* Then there's the tailgaters...

I'm scarred for life just by driving as little as I do, and I'm not even 16. Does that seem a little sad? But it does help that my dad is a truck driver because he gives good advice to me, being a first time driver. ^.^ I am definitely getting those flash cards!!!
