Magna Carta 2 is being made for the Xbox 360. Damn, I'm having so much fun with the first game, I was really hoping to play a second one. I wonder if it'll cross over to the PS3 later. I hope so. Magna Carta: Tears of Blood is a beautiful game. I bought it because the art work was so pretty. Ha! But I'll post more on it after I beat it.
I will say for those who liked the ring system of Shadow Hearts, you'd like Magna Carta, since it has a similar system.
*sigh* This game might make me buy an Xbox...then I could play Fable, I suppose. Or J can buy and Xbox and let me borrow it! That sounds like a good idea! (J/King) PSP seems to be getting a game too...and a PSP is on my list for next year.
In other news, seems Xenosaga will wrap up with Xenosaga III for the PS2. Guess I should get cracking on number 2 then. Number one was an awesome game, but I wonder what the hell happened with number 2? It's so...blah.
Posted by Zoso at December 15, 2005 02:26 PMScrew that, it better come out for the computer. :P I refuse to get an Xbox 360. Did you hear how many problems they've been having with them? And the company refuses to recognize it, too. Ha, that's what they get for trying to beat out Sony~...
Posted by: Sharon at December 16, 2005 04:56 AMI've stuck to my guns about the Xbox franchise for awhile now. This is one of the first times I've considered getting one--I didn't think I'd like Magna Carta as much as I do. (so, so fun!!!) We'll see. My hope is that it isn't an exclusive release, and will go to the PS3 later.
Why does the Xbox need an RPG anyway? Don't most RPG fans have Playstations? ;P (J/K)
Posted by: Zoso at December 16, 2005 09:19 AMIt's funny that you mention that, considering that we were talking about it in our forum. People at school who had gotten then Xbox 360 said it caught fire, began deleting it's own hard drive and smoking like crazy. What did I do when I heard all this? I laughed. Really hard.
But anyways, don't go out and buy an Xbox just for that. I figure that it might have a late release on the PS2 or PS3. I've been thinking about getting into the whole Shadow Hearts games but it depends how much money I get from Christmas... Plus Drakengard 2 and Xenosaga III are coming out... I'm going to be so broke.
Oh yeah, and Xenosaga is a pain to beat, considering I usually beat a game in a month or two, but I've had Xenosaga II since it came out and am stuck on the boss battle. The strategy guide helps a little, but I'm too lazy to level up my characters. I really don't like the system of leveling up they use.
Posted by: Vampire_Fire at December 16, 2005 01:00 PMSome of the boss battles in Xenosaga I were a pain in the ass. I was really bummed about the final boss. I beat it in less than three minutes...if that. As for two, I haven't had much trouble, but then again, I'm not very far (if I remember right).
Shadow Hearts is an awesome series. 1 and 2 are so cool. I'm looking forward to number 3, though Yuri won't be coming back. :( Magna Carta is seriously awesome. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is. It has some flaws (less freedom to roam about and some towns are a bitch to navigate), but it's a great story with some seriously awesome characters.
I don't think I'll ever by a first gen console anyway. Remember when the PS2 first came out and how much trouble it had? Even after the fixed the bugs, the newer ones still had short lives. I'm on my third one. *laughs* But I love the PS2, regardless.
As for Xbox, I think it's funny they rushed a release and are now paying for it. As J mentioned the other day, the numbers are a bit skewed, since no one knows how many of these faulty consoles are sitting under someone tree. Kinda scary.
I'll wait and see what happens with Magna Carta 2. If there's no PS3 release, I might look into buying a 360 later. I'll keep my eyes peeled for news.
