Good for him. And boo on the media for turning this into a circus. That seems to be the only thing they're good for these days.
You know what I'm sick of? I'm sick and tired of bleeding hearts in this country making excuses for people who deserve to be punished.
"Awwww, poor Stanley Tookie Williams!
Lookie, he's writing children’s books and has found God! He's not such a bad guy now! We need to save him! Save him from being punished! He's already in prison, lets just keep him there! Lets just let him continue writing his books, pretending he found God, and winning Nobel Peace prizes. That silly little Asian family should get over their dead family members already. No big deal anyway, people die everyday, right?"
Of course, this is also followed by "He's innocent! He denies everything! He's wrongly convicted!" Yeah, and I bet you most of the people in jail will blame their crimes on someone else. I suppose they're all innocent too. Just as innocent as OJ! A super sports star surely couldn’t murder anyone, right?
So what if this guy wrote children's books? If Jeffery Dahmer wrote fat-free cookbooks, would that be proof of his innocence/remorse? Never mind the human heads in his freezer, he's saving lives by promoting healthy eating right?
As for Stanley Tookie Williams--good riddance. People were killed by him in cold blood, then he ran off and bragged about it, and then he got caught. Boo-fucking-hoo. Anyone who does something like this deserves to die. Period.
How does killing Williams help me, you, or the community?
Uhh...less taxes? :) Especially if we find a more efficient way of killing them. Plus, I would like to think it turns people away from the idea of starting a gang. -__-
By the way (off topic slightly, but still), isn't it weird that people seem to "find God" pretty much only when they're on teh verge of death (self-imposed or otherwise), having really bad luck, etc? If that works for you, great. But some things just aren't excusable.
Posted by: Sharon at December 14, 2005 12:03 AMThe question should be "how does keeping him alive help me, you, or the community?" Seriously, I place no value on the life of a man who has gone out and killed people for absolutly no reason other than meaness and evil. He deserves redemption? I don't think so. Did you see the pictures of what he did? He took that one boy into a back room and blew half his face off! Then he bragged about it. And people are crying for this monster? Just because he wrote a childrens book? Give me a break.
I hope William's death gives the family closure. Now I wish they'd get to work on people like Manson, Yates, etc. We don't need to be paying for them to sit fat and sassy behind bars.
God bless America, the country where the lives of murders and criminals are valued more than the people they hurt.
As for the God thing, I honestly don't believe in a God that grants redemption for killers of this sort. Is Ted Bundy in heaven? I hope not, because if that's what Heaven is, I don't want to go there. People like Bundy, Dahmer, Manson, Gacey, Williams, etc need to burn in Hell where they belong. Isn't that the purpose of Hell? I seriously don't get 'religion' sometimes. What's that saying? You can't have your cake and eat it too? LOL
Posted by: Zoso at December 14, 2005 11:33 AMThis thing with this Tookie guy really pissed me off. So he wrote children's books, so what? What is the fucking MATTER with people who say that he should live! He didn't go through any kind of redemption in my eyes. Once again i say, so he wrote childrens' books.... so what? He killed people, he was a sick person who murdered people in cold blood. Why would you want to keep someone like that alive? I agree with you Zoso. I really do wonder about all this religious crap about redemption for your sins and how God loves you and Heaven is open to anyone who wishes to go there. This is why I do not choose to currently ignore all this religious crap right now. If you put your life in the hands of a god and expect him to forgive someone for killing multiple people, and he does, then I want no part in that religion. It just so happens that most religions do that.... Grr...
Sorry for the angst, but I'm glad he was executed.
