Well, the countdown has seriously began. In three days, I'll officially be laid off work. Two weeks earlier than the norm (four weeks sooner than managment predicted), but I knew it was coming. My lay off is only temporary (and partial). I'll return to work January 1st, and I still have to work 10 hours a week to keep up my medical benifits. I love lay off, but I HATE dealing with the unemployment office.
*sigh*
Once that's out of the way, I'll be ready to do pretty much nothing for the next two months. *heh* I'll work on TMTB again and pick up on some of my other projects I've had to set aside these past few weeks. Oh, and I'll play lots of videogames. :)
Halloween came and went. My son did a little trick or treating, but called it a night after two stops. LMAO! I was a bit startled, but we've never been big on trick or treating. He opted to skip out on the neighbors houses and just went home.
My cat is currently destroying my house. Everyone else has left for work and I can hear her ravaging the helium bat balloon my son got from my grandma...I'm afraid to go look in the bathroom too, since I heard her in there a few minutes ago. *shakes head*
Posted by Zoso at November 1, 2005 06:29 AMHe doesn't like trick or treating? Wow. I thought that I was the only strange child and didn't like to trick or treat.
Layed off, wohoo. I wish that I had that time to play video games. Is your cat new? I know that cats tend to destroy things, especially if they are new or kittens.
Posted by: Mia Hoshifaia at November 1, 2005 07:55 AMHallowe'en doesn't seem to be as big in England as it is over in your neck of the woods. I've personally never been trick or treating, nor have I ever really wanted to. No one bothers buying enough sweets for trick-or-treater's, so no one ever answers the door.
Well, where I live anyway.
Our cat has been acting weird lately too. I wonder if Hallowe'en does something to them...? XD
Posted by: DR at November 1, 2005 09:01 AMNah, we've had the cat for at least four years. She's a pain in the ass, but we love her (most of the time). When she doesn't get her way, she destroys things.
Mostly she'll go wreak havoc in the bathroom. She shreds the toilet paper, and I mean shreds it. None of this unrolling it off the roller and onto the floor shit for her. Nope, she tears apart the roll, like she's trying to friggen kill it. She'll even get them out from under the sink (she can open the cabinets). She'll empty kleenex boxes, knock stuff off of the counter...pretty much whatever she can do to seriously piss you off. Of course, this is followed by galloping up and down the hallway and scratching all the furniture too. Occasionally, if we ignore her, she'll go bite Hunter for good measure. *sigh*
She was a sweet kitten. I don't know what the hell happened to her.
Posted by: Zoso at November 1, 2005 09:29 PMYour kiddo sounds too cute! I just about DIED when I read that.
