Ok.
I'm done with that. I think I've damaged my eyes permenantly writing that. My spelling sucks, but sheesh, I can't stand seeing the stuff above. It just bugs the hell out of me. Pure laziness being hidden behind an "it's cool" or "it's cute" facade.
IT'S NOT COOL AND IT'S CERTAINLY NOT CUTE!
*scratches eyes out*
Anyhoo...
I've fallen behind on a few of my projects once again...No suprise there. I spent my entire weekend off doing nothing...except playing Shadow Hearts 2, which is an entertaining enough game, but what in the hell did they do the Yuri? Whatever. I feel guilty for neglecting the things I have planned, so I suppose I should work on them tonight...or maybe tomorrow...
*laughs*
I did spend all day researching stuff for a story I have planned. All day. Loads and loads of info I want to sit down and go through. It was fun. I have all sorts of ideas running through my head now. If only I could get them on paper the way I imagine.
J...GO FOR IT! You've got nothin to lose, baby! Take a chance! *heh* I'm so proud of you! :-)
Projects aside, right now I'm just happy to be alive. You see, it took me an hour to get to work again today...But this time it wasn't because of road construction. No...the fog was so damn thick I couldn't see anything. Doesn't make for good driving...There were accidents all over the place. Just pulling onto the highway was like rolling the dice. I passed one accident, and a flagger who had no idea what the hell he was doing waved me somewhere...I don't even think he knew where...and I ended up going down this road I've never been on before. Turns out it was a dead end...Soooooo, I had to turn all the way around and find my way back to the highway...*sigh*
Oh...and before I forget...
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY! TURN ON YOUR FRIGGIN LIGHTS WHEN IT'S FOGGY!
No wonder there were like a gazillion accidents today. I saw people everywhere driving with their lights off. I wanted to ram my car into them...then say I didn't see them just to prove my point. Of course, I wouldn't do something like that. I need my car.
In about three more weeks, I'll be laid off from work. I'm looking forward to it, though I don't like the idea of being broke...Oh well.
Speaking of work...
Can I go home yet?

Actually, there's a very good reason to keep your lights off - depending on the amount of fog in the air, keeping your lights on can significantly lessen your visibility. The light reflects off of the moisture in the air and bounces back into your eyes, resulting in the fog appearing more opaque than it otherwise would.
That's why some cars (ie. mine) have "fog lights" - they are mounted lower, underneath where most of the fog sites - so that the road is somewhat lit without shining back into your eyes.
Posted by: Jeff at November 10, 2004 02:25 AMYeah, you can see the reflection of light big time if you turn your brights on at night when it's foggy outside.
However, people SHOULD turn their lights on in the day time, especially when it's this foggy. As far as I'm concerned, leaving lights on might make fog more "opaque", but that's whey people should slow the hell down. I'd rather be 10 minutes late for work because I had to drive 40 down the highway, than have some poor joe slam into my car because he couldn't see me coming until the last minute! Nearly all the accidents that happened the other day were because drivers didn't have lights on and couldn't be seen until too late.
