Stupid Anime Fans

Really, the elitist stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I mean, how more mundane, whiny, and nitpicky can you actually be....

Wait...don't answer that...because when it comes to your "otaku" fans, as they like to call themselves, anything is frickin possible.
BTW...did you dumbasses know that being called an otaku isn't a compliment? Funny, how it's okay for an elitist to take a Japanese word and twist it to fit their context, but then turn around and rant and rave about how American companies bastardize anime by omitting it's "true contextual meanings"...WTF...

We have a word for that here, hypocrisy...and in Japan it's called 偽善.

それらはアホウだよ。(insert angry face here)

Anyway, I happened to be trolling about last night, searching for various release dates and info on upcoming licenses, and of course I ran into several various postings from these hypocritical ignoramuses which got me irked once again. Gawd, they're crawling out of the wood work these days...perhaps it's because it's "Con" season, or maybe it's just the warm weather and like the pests they are, they come out when the spring time hits...

Don't believe me...take a look at this doofus who is pitching a fit about American companies changing the yen amounts in manga into dollars. "It loses the feel" they say. THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD "Do the math" they say...Like I really want to whip out a pencil and make conversions while I read a manga. Like I really want a bunch of text bubbles everywhere explaining things to me in the margins. Like it really matters THAT MUCH...

Gawd, how about this...why don't you stop bitching and go buy the Japanese version and you can have all the "FEEL" you want...

Another one I ran across, and I'm sorry I didn't save the link since I can't remember where I found it, was someone reviewing "Hana Kimi" and comparing Viz's translations to the scanlations they read along with the Chinese version. Now there's a great comparison to base a review off of. We all know that fan translations are much better than professional translations, and of course, the Chinese versions of manga NEVER deviate from the Japanese versions either...Wait a second while I stab my eye out with a pencil and scramble my frontal lobe...perhaps then I'll be able to reason like an otaku and understand how in the HELL they come up with this crap!

And of course, you can just troll through any anime forum, such as AoD, and find thread after thread of nitpicky complainers pointing out printing errors and minor goof-ups by companies like Viz and Tokyopop. Mistakes are made, people...shit happens...get over it. And like I've said before, (scroll down), if you're too stupid to figure it out on your own, maybe you shouldn't be reading it anyway...Sheesh...

Of course, they throw in the "Well, I pay for this" line too. Yeah, so do I. And when the kiddies grow up, they'll realize that just because you pay for something doesn't mean you're gonna get perfection. Sorry, but that's how the big bad world works. D-E-A-L W-I-T-H I-T.

Now, I'm not saying that all bitching isn't founded. Some have viable points. Just not very many of them...I'm so sick of hearing about Tokyopop's printing quality, VIZ's typo's and horrible translations, etc. I'm sick of Funi bashing, tired of dub trashing, and frankly put out over the entire perfectionist attitude of elitist freakheads everywhere. They make it very difficult to enjoy anime/manga fandom. It's hard to strike up a converstaion on a forum without some tard jumping in and spouting off "Tokyopop blows my mom" or some stupid crap like that. Case in point...a few months ago, I posted a thread about the greatness of Bleach becoming licensed in the US. Now we all know that I'm a Bleach fan (if you didn't see my review down below), and I was excited to share the info with fellow fans. Stupid me, I started a discussion about how nice it was to see this manga finally coming to the US. It took less than a day and a full blown argument occured about how VIZ was going to do a horrible job and the manga would suck. The thread was over run with elitist jackasses ranting about how Bleach should just stay in Japanese and no company should touch it...It was so idiotic...and so stupid of me to think that fans of the series could have a nice, decent discussion about how fantastic Bleach is as a manga.

Anyway...

I'm not saying they have to like the companies, but you know, I'd like them to keep their damn mouths just and stop repeating the same tired mantra over and over again.

やれやれ。。。
