Comments: Possessed Mac

I honestly don't know what this could be. Have you browsed through (or posted a message) on the Apple support forums?

This is a setting. You can set it up to come back with a password prompt - or not.

Also, even if you have it set to require a password, it won't do it if you immediately wake it up after it goes to sleep (if you wake it up quickly, the Mac assumes that you put it to sleep accidentally through a hot corner and would be annoyed at a prompt). You have to wait a few seconds first.

Sleep mode functions like it should. My sentance was a little confusing there. It goes to sleep and wakes up if I fiddle with the mouse or whatever. The sleep light flickers, which I suppose is normal. I've never really noticed it before.

I've searched all over for an answer. I posted a question tonight over on the Apple Discussion boards. I shall wait and see what they have to say. The only thing I've ran into that might make sense is this:

I haven't done it yet. I'm afraid it will make a mountain out of a mole hill. I really don't care if my Mac doesn't stay turned off. I'm just worried there is a bigger problem that will only get worse if I don't fix it now.
