Damn, that sucks. Oh well, that's life for you.
On a side note; have you decide if you are going to purchase an iMac?
Posted by Gamma Classic at February 9, 2007 02:16 PMNot sure yet. It's very likely, but I'm probably going to wait closer to summer. Have you used one before?
Posted by Zoso at February 9, 2007 05:04 PMNope. Just wondering, since I'm considering buying one. But I still can't decide whether to choose a pretty iMac or pretty Windows Vista...I just can't decide right now.
I went ahead and customized my own computer on hp, and it came out to over three grand, just slightly less than when I customized an iMac. Dell was just too damn expensive, and the model I would like only offers Vista Home Premium, so no go there.
The only reason I would actually even consider another PC is that I am in love with Office 2007., I've gotten to play around with my friend's PC that just got updated to Vista Ultimate with Office 07 and it was pretty cool. He mentioned some problems (they never go away, no matter how many times you beef up security or clean up glitches) and recommended I wait a few more months to have more options, which is what I am planning on doing.
Posted by Gamma Classic at February 9, 2007 05:28 PMScratch that. Office 2008 for the Mac will be released in the second half of this year.

If this is the case, then I'll just purchase the Student Teacher Edition of 07' ($150) for the moment and save up for a Mac in the future. Everybody wins!

Posted by Gamma Classic at February 9, 2007 05:45 PMThat, and you can run windows on a mac now anyway. LOL I've heard Vista is having some serious issues right now (might want to read J's or Jeff's blog--they have all kinds of techy info over there). At any rate, I'm trying to cover all my bases before I jump ship and buy a Mac.
Posted by zoso at February 9, 2007 09:03 PMI've heard nothing but problems from the same friend days later...I suppose it was just the shiny new features that caught my eye and kept it there. But now with this little development (how in the world did I forget that Windows is compatible on Mac?), I would have to say I'm ready to jump ship.
