Comments: *listens to crickets*

I noticed the protests and stuff on CNN. They pretty much showed that all day. I don't really understand what they are doing. People (mostly hispanics) were walking around holding the American and Mexican flag. What exactly are they trying to do? I'm confused. If they were protesting immigration, why the Mexican flag? If they were for immigration, why the American flag? I do not understand what the point of the protest was.

Things got a little hairy here in Seattle. Leave it to us. Some guy, obviously stuck in traffic like I was the last time they marched, decided to drive THREW the march rather than around it.

This resulted in people trying to beat him up while the police drug him away. But all in all, it didn't evolve into one of our infamous riots.

Regardless, traffic was light here too, and judging by the PI commentary, no one here cares that they clsoed. Some people said they just won't go to those resturants and stores anymore.

My question is...what will these people do once they have amensty? Once they become legal citizens they're entitled to "real" wages. Which nullifies the purpose of hiring them for "cheap" labor. So what will stop these companies from just hiring more illegals instead of these new citizens?

Then they'll all be unemployed and impoverished. Which drives up the cost of social services and so on...

The lack of foresight these people have is boggling.

Glad to see you made it home, sis. J and I were wondering if you were still stuck in traffic last night. LOL

All we can do now is wait and see what happens. Though J and I pondered what would happen if there was a "Day Without Citizens" day here in the states. LOL Could you imagine the economic ramifications of something like that?

LMAO. They'd probably claim that we didn't want ANY of the jobs, and that we should appreciate them because they'll do those jobs too.

I got a auto-reposnse from Cantwell. I was unimpressed with her position. She has lost my vote. I say we write J in as a candidate. lol

I haven't gotten a response. :(

J would be a great write-in candidate. Except we'd have to write him in as Shazaam, not J.
