Oh how I love this little rant. ^.^ If I can add something to it though... Chrono from Chrono Crusade is a demon killing other demons and so does Inu Yasha, though he is only a half demon. Also, it seems that there is always some sort of sibling thing going on. Like Sasuke and Itachi, Inu Yasha and Sesshoumaru, etc. You have a good point in saying that a lot of anime are similar.

Yes, you're right. And along that same theme, the guys from Saiyuki are demons killing demons too! There's almost always some sort of sibling rivalery going on...and one things we've both forgotten to mention, most anime/manga characters don't have parents!!!

Lol. Yeah, I think in most anime/manga I've seen, you always just hear or see the mom or dad saying something to the kid or whatever rather than being drawn in, like in one of the first episodes of Naruto where Sakura's mom is yelling to her from outside her room. (Though I think it would be a lot easier if you talked to someone face to face, but hey, anime artists can be a little lazy too.) Except in Inu Yasha, which seems to have its own little thing going on seeing as you see Inu Yasha's mother and not his father, and the same thing with Kagome. With Sango it's the exact opposite. But there is one exception when Shiori's parents are revealed during her little 2 episode thingie.
