Although, that smacking people upside the head thing is also something I do! >=D The perfect comeback! Heehee, the first one is just so totally Cliff. You can't help but love that guy.

Say, who's the guy in the last scan? He looks pretty familiar, but I can't work it out.

Actually, I do have another question. =/ In the scan where she hits Cliff after thinking about Albel, do you know why exactly she does that? >=D

Well, on the previous page, Nel was giving a serious speech about "defending peace by lending power" or something like that, and she turns around and finds Cliff and Fayt shopping instead of listening.　　Cliff makes some comment about Albel's power and his credibility (still not paying attention to Nel), and asks Fayt if he agrees...

Apparently (now I'm not fluent here, but I try) the guy asks if Nel is a government spy and hands her an outrageous bill...(I'm assuming Cliff told him to bill their "lunch" to her).　　After she beats Cliff she complains about the bill and nearly gets into a fight with some local thugs...

You're welcome! I don't know if they'll ever be translated. I hope so. I'd like to see them do an anime of this Star Ocean. They did one of Star Ocean: The Second Story. We can only hope. What I really, really want is an Albel resin statue! They have them over everyone else!!! I'm thinking of buying the Cliff one. They're really cool!

Cool scans. I totally enjoyed all of them, as well as the adorable short story of Albel, Sophia and Fayt. That explains Solon's remark in Gemity whenever Albel does the Single Battle (Pudding Treat with tentacles XP ). ^^ I had wondered about it.

Yes, poor Fayt, I think Cliff deserves the hits he gets for being such a perv ( he sure is different from the Cliff in the game ) and this is an interesting side of Nel. I think I saw hints of it in the game, though, not as... blatant as here in the manga. I figured she'd have quite a temper; Clair has one and she's usually more cool-headed, that and we must all recall, Nel is a REDhead. Redheads have fiery tempers, even if some of them take a long time to blow. Those are the ones who one should look out for. I really should get around to incorporating that into one of my fanfics. Adds a good character quirk for Nel.

Yes, Nel is a red-head. *laughs* She's sensitive in the manga as well, but only on a few panels. Most of the time she is either being serious or beating the hell out of Cliff. Mirage clobbers him a couple times too. *laughs*

HAH! the manga cracks me up! Even though i cant read it its still funny! i went to the cherry blossom festivel in japan town and to see if they had the manga in the book store.........and........i searched.......and searched.......then i found it but they only had vol #5.......well anyway it was funny when an injured cliff comes in and saves Fayt and Nel from Vox then starts bleeding again from the inpact (he was already injured from fighting albel)

As for what Nel and Albel would say to one another...hmmm...Nel really doesn't like Albel in the manga so far. There's been no interaction with him except the times he's taunted or tried to kill them, but it's pretty obvious what she thinks of him. The new book (5) just came out and I got it today. There's not much Albel in it and I'm not sure if they'll include the part where he goes with them...they've cut a lot out of the story and changed some things around...

I'll post some scans of book five later when I have more time.

I'm gonna ask my mom to order me volume four of the SO3 manga on Sasuga, and possibly the fifth. *huggles mom* :3 I always did picture Nel to have such a... how should I say it, somewhat volatile temper? But in the game, I mostly saw Albel cracking her open easily with just a word or comment. The others, she just seemed to dismiss in a... calmer way I guess.

Moms are cool! (pats self on the back) Ha ha! Seriously though, I love Japanese tanks! They're a lot cheaper than translated ones...though I do prefer to read in my own language, since my Japanese is sub-par. It takes me a week or two to read one tank...ugh...need to study more!

Scans of the new manga. I was going to do them, but just haven't gotten around to it. I recently got book 5, and there's a few of Albel and Cliff (fighting). I probably won't get them done this weekend though.

I believe most of them came from volumes 2 and 3. Albel pops up off and on through out all of them. I don't expect to see much of him in the next one, though I could be wrong. (hopeful)

I got book 4 last month, and I was really happy of course. I ordered books, 2, 3, and 5, thanks to my wonderful loving mom, yet it still hasn't shipped. Got an e-mail saying it has two of my books, yet one of them sold out, so they're waiting to be in stock.

I liked book 4. Lots of Nel and Albel in there, though that girl humanoid who's obsessed with Albel slightly annoys me. She acts slightly like a Mary-Sue. Along with that other woman that you see in one of the last chapter of the volume. I think the humanoid's name was "Kurin"? Ah, well...

I bristle when those two women thought of scenes of them with Albel. Those girls should know that shall never happen!! (is an avid AlbelNel fan) Then again, I dream of him with Nel... *shrugs*

Yes, the manga is only in Japanese. There are actually manga for the first and second series too. There are also Koma Comics and the Super Gekijoh comics. They are "spoof" comics like the ones I've translated. The offical game manga is drawn by 神田　晶　(Kanda Akira)for ガンガンコミックス (Gangan Comics).

Go to www.sasuga.com and do a search for Star Ocean. They should have a bunch listed there.

Or, you can go to http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=02
and look up スターオーシャン。 Kinokuniya is in Japanese, so if you can't read it, it might be a problem. I prefer them over Sasuga though, since Sasuga tends to be slow.

These scans are hilarious! I really appreciate someone getting them out on the web or I would've never known about the Star Ocean 3 manga! (Oh the horror!! ;.;) Nel is really scary when she gets her temper... it really would have been quite funny if she would've acted like that in the game... The only time I saw her get really angry was when Albel calls her a fool before they fight Crosell, which kinda surprised me because she's usually calm and collected. But hey, maybe I should be thankful that she actually interacted with Albel there(YESSSS! Abel and Nel forever!)!

Anyways, it still sucks that the manga isn't translated... And as for plans for it being translated... well, that's what my favorite magazine is for! I will write them tonight to find out if and when the manga will come out because they answer questions like that all the time in their letters section.
