Comments: "Drawn Together": The New Reality TV Show

Considering the plot of the show, one can choose to not be offended by the somewhat explict content of the show. Unfortunately, I am not everyone. I am sick and tired of the overtly sexual depiction of black women by the media. It's bad enough in film and music videos, but now I think it's gone too far. The constant repitition of black women as "oversexed" and and "sexually loose" serves as a basis for perpetuating the stereotype in reality. Humor is used to relieve the tension of the message this cartoon is sending out and I for one am not amused.

You're opinion is dualy noted. Though I for one have never thought of black women as over-sexed or loose...Then again, stereotypes are everywhere and I tend to ignore them. Sure, those supermodels and anorexic actresses on tv (white, black, asian, etc) aren't doing much to help the image of us women as a whole, but I'm not losing any sleep over it. Not much you can do about it either.

If you don't like the show, don't watch it. No one's going to force you. Simple as that.
