I'd recommend skipping on the guide, and using gamefaqs.com or any number of other sources. Sure, they don't tend to have as many or nice of maps, etc. but it's free.
Also, if you buy a $15 guide, you're more likely to turn to it when you really should spend a bit longer trying to get through the puzzle on your own (if only to justify your purchase). If you have a crutch, you're more likely to use it.
Of course, it _is_ a game, and if having those nice maps helps you enjoy it, that's fine. :>
Posted by Jeff at August 30, 2004 09:28 PMMMmmm.....bacon LMAO a meat cutter named billy, had a nice little saying. we'd ask him how he was doing, and he'd respond, " happier than a dead pig in the hot sun." LMAO he was a riot, i miss working with him, hearing all his old WWII war stories and such.
that is good news about the car. i thought it wasnt anything serious. 30,000 mile repair stuff costing $400??? depends on what they do. sounds like alot, and ill bet the list of things they " need to do" aint a whole heck of alot. just a check this, and this, and this, and maybe change a fluid or 2, and adjust something. but it maybe worth it to keep the warrenty for another 2years or so.
anaconda??? i had no clue a new movie came out? i thought the last one was a dud, with that slut j.lo. some b movies are the greatest. super troopers, the cops, not the space guys, was one of the greatest movies ever. steve and i know almost every line by heart. LOL humans getting eaten and mutalated by creatures is always good stuff. though there are quite a few very poorly produced movies. hey did you see aliens vs. predator? i want to see it, but havent heard much about it. alrighty, bed time. take care.
Hehehe, "Super Troopers" rocked! I'm not sure what part was my favorite. Perhaps, when they get caught smoking dope with the nympho prisoners! Or, when they test the steel athletic cup by shooting the guy in the nuts! Indeed, no movie has so thouroughly made up for the cinematic insufferability of the "The English Patient" as has "Super Troopers."
I'm still trying to figure out if this anaconda movie was a sequel. They reference the first movie briefly in it as an urban horror legend ( I heard from my friend, who heard from his sister, who...). None of the cast from the original showed up in the sequel. I suppose there were only two survivors from the original Anaconda movie, one of them being J Lo. Obviously her ghetto booty will no longer fit in 16:9 format screens so they couldn't cast her. I'll tell you what, this movie SO could have used Ice Cube. He's about the only black guy I know who's survived the first 15 minutes of a "B" horror flick, and by god... that's something in my book.
Of course, nothing really comes close to the best "B" flick of all time; "Spaced Invaders." What a great movie. It's everything a movie should be and more. Aliens land on earth during Halloween and are mistaken for trick-or-treaters, while trying to stop other aliens from destroying the planet... and you thought they had run out of ideas!
Oh, J Lo is anything but a slut. You see, in show business they call that "determination."
Posted by J at September 1, 2004 01:30 AMHa ha! Yes, some B movies are pretty good! I didn't like super troopers though.
Anacondas was okay. I mean, it was cliche in very way imaginable, but still entertaining to say the least. It made me laugh. Those I was sort of ticked that the two characters I hated the most actually lived...*sigh*

Yeah, I know, I should just hold off and use a GameFaqs walkthrough. They work well enough most of the time. Though J and I were talking about fan written walkthroughs the other day and how horrible they can be. *laughs* I've run into some that are down right awful (Tales of Symphonia walkthroughs on GameFaqs are horrible). I can't critsize too much, considering most of those kids writing them have no clue how to use "technical writing" tools to create decent directions. Still, it annoys me to no end when I'm using a walk through in a dungeon and the directions tell me "Go up and around and take the exit on the left" and of course there are two exits on the left and I was suppose to go up and around where? *laughs*
With Tales, I didn't need to use a walkthrough much. However, with "bigger" games, I usually buy the book instead...like Final Fantasy and Xenosaga. I would have got the Tales walkthrough too, but I didn't expect the game to be so good...*laughs*
Hey, have you heard anything about FF12? Jay and I were speculating on the release. I've heard late summer next year and Jay seems to think they may hold out for the PS3. That would be kinda cool! Though I'm not too keen on having to fork out some serious dough for a new console...Oh well...such is the life of a gamer!
